Students who attend Coláiste Éanna have the opportunity to participate in a wide range of extracurricular activities. Sports including Gaelic football and hurling, basketball, soccer, table tennis, and golf are open to all students.
Our Chess Club, known as the Knights of Éanna, is open to all students. -The club is registered with the Irish Chess Federation and competes in both national and international competitions.
The Athletics Club meets on Friday afternoons after school. Mr Gerry Martin coaches our athletes.
Various debating teams represent Coláiste Éanna in English and French at various competitions throughout the school year. Mr Hennessy & Mr Stirling coach the students.
The Coláiste Éanna Drama Society is open to all students. This year’s production is the ever popular musical “Oliver”, which will be staged from Wednesday 29th November to Saturday 2nd December. Auditions will be held over the coming days. Students should contact Mr Quinn and Ms McDonnell for further details.
The Politics Society is open to students from TY, 5th & 6th Year. They meet with Mr Hennessy in Room 11 at lunchtime on Fridays. Mr Hennessy is also responsible for the European Youth Parliament. EYP organises weekend-long sessions for secondary school students across Ireland, promoting awareness of European issues among young people. Through Team-Building, Committee Work and open debate and discussion in General Assembly participants have fun while engaging with major European & global matters.
