Academic

Since its foundation in 1967, Coláiste Éanna has sought to follow in the tradition of Blessed Edmund Rice, to inspire in its pupils a love of learning.
Our teachers play central role our achievements in the academic field. Dedicated and devoted, our teachers are subject specialists with impressive qualifications and many years of experience teaching to the highest standards.

Facilities for study at Coláiste Éanna are second to none. Almost all teachers have dedicated classrooms with PCs and digital projectors. There is a campus-wide computer network. Afterschool study is available for Junior and Leaving Certificate students. The school library has recently undergone a major overhaul and provides students with both a place to work and a learning resource. The school boasts 4 Science Laboratories, 2 Computer Rooms, a Woodwork and Construction Studies Suite, DCG Room, Art Room and several rooms with interactive whiteboards.

Contact with parents is maintained by a variety of means, both written and verbal. Parent-teacher meetings take place during the year when all subject teachers discuss pupils’ individual progress with parents. Where necessary, meetings can also be arranged on an ad hoc basis. In addition to this, detailed reports are written by teachers at Midterm, Christmas, Easter and summer. Pupils also have class tests on a regular basis and teachers keep records of grades.

Colaiste Éanna is proud of its academic achievements and is committed to the continued pursuit of excellence for all its pupils in the years to come.
