11 Mar Gaelic Football Victory
Congratulations to the senior Gaelic football team who won the Dublin “B” Final on Friday. It has been over 20 years since Coláiste Éanna has won a senior final. Éanna were playing against the breeze in the first half and stayed in contention through a Conor Leigh goal. Trailing by 6 points at half time, Éanna had an uphill battle, but the team proved well able for the challenge. Drawing level through some great points from Barra McGarry and Warren Egan, the team went ahead from a fantastic left footed point from Ross McGarry. Although St. Declan’s did get a goal, Éanna proved the much stronger team in the last 10 minutes and won on a score line of 3-10 to 1-11.
It was a fantastic team performance, and the team now go on to play CBS Carlow this Saturday in the Leinster final.
