20 May Past Pupils Evening
The Open Evening for Past Pupils of Coláiste Éanna was a great success. Principal Brendan Mc Cauley welcomed some 60 past pupils and 9 former teachers back to their old school. He invited all present to feel free to visit all the facilities on campus, to take a prospectus and particularly to consider the possibility of establishing a steering group who would build upon this event. He stressed that the purpose of the event was to draw disparate groups of Past Pupils together and was not about fund raising and that Past Pupils would never be approached for funds in the future.
A vibrant Past Pupils Association is vital for any school community. At best it allows for old boys to re-tell their stories and thus add to the corporate memory but at best it encourages Past Pupils to become champions for the school and creates a network to support present pupils.
A steering group has been set up and will meet presently. If you would like to get involved contact the school through the website
