05 Mar Coláiste Éanna Lenten Fast for Charity 2013

Many of use choose to give something up during the Lenten season or take up something that will bring us closer to God. We decided in Cólaiste Éanna this year that as a community we would focus on three of the traditional practices which should be undertaken with renewed vigour during Lent. These are prayer, fasting and almsgiving. We have therefore organised a Lenten Fast which many students and staff will partake in on Wednesday, March 20^th. We are all enthusiastic about embarking on our fundraising in the coming weeks and helping each other through the challenge of our 24 hour fast. With our preparation well underway, we now turn our focus to raising funds to help out our well deserving charities.

This year our two selected charities are The Irish Cancer Society and the local St. Vincent de Paul in Ballyroan and Whitechurch.
