Niall Mellon, a past pupil of Coláiste Éanna, established the Niall Mellon Township Trust in 2002. This year they will celebrate the 10th anniversary of its work in South Africa. Another past pupil Paul Magahran (Class of ’77) has been on the project for nine of those years. Each year he has to raise €4000 to travel and work in South Africa.
He has asked the students of Coláiste Éanna for support this year. There will be a non- uniform day on Wednesday March 28th to raise money. Paul visited all classes in the school on March 9th to tell them about the project and enlist their support. Students have been encouraged to wear the colours from the South African flag on the day.
We encourage you to do your best for this worthy cause.
