Library

The library has undergone major renovation over the past years.  Damaged and outdated texts were removed and replaced. Ms Hogan, Coláiste Éanna’s art teacher and a number of students painted murals of Irish playwrights and poets on the main wall. The library now provides pupils and staff with a beautiful facility for study and reading.

Transition Year students have been working with Deputy Principal Susan McCabe to catalogue the books and this year students were issued with cards so that they could borrow books. Currently we have a varied selection of books on our shelves, including fiction and non-fiction, as well as journals, magazines and reference material. As well the various individual texts we have a number of class sets of novels. In time we hope to be fully computerised.

The Library is open under staff supervision. Pupils use it during class time and for evening study. The library is also used as a venue for visiting speakers, meetings and exams.
